Wheel RestorationWheel Restoration
The wheel restoration process is a proven system to restore your wheels to a "Like New" condition. It's a multi stepped process: 1. The wheel is inspected for safety and bends. If possible, bends and cracks are repaired. If wheels are deemed to be unsafe, the wheel is returned to the customer. If the wheel is "safe" and within safety specifications, it is moved along to the next step. 2. The wheel is plastic bead blasted in an automatic bead blaster to remove finish. 3. The wheel is manually plastic bead blasted to remove whatever finish may have been missed during the automatic plastic bead blasting process. 4. The wheel is dipped in a proprietary chemical bath to remove any embedded finish that may remain. 5. The wheel is plastic bead blasted in an automatic bead blaster again to ensure the appropriate texture for maximum finish adherance. 6. The wheel is manually plastic bead blasted to again to ensure that no area was missed during the automated process. 7. The wheel is CNC lathed to remove any imperfections or cracks that may have been filled with weld. 8. The wheel is degreased and cleaned to ready it for finish. 9. The entire wheel is primed. 10. If the wheel has a painted or partially painted finish, the entire face is powder coated to the Original Manufacturer's RAL color. 11. If the wheel face is partially or completely machined, it is CNC lathed to Near Orignal Perfection. 12. Finally, the wheel is clear powder coated to give it a deep, protected finish. The result, a wheel that is as close to perfection as is possible!!
